Moderation of Assessment
Overview
This module is suitable for people who have a role in moderating assessments that have been designed and carried out by other people. It gives skills training and practice in moderation systems within and external to the organisation. It involves participants in undertaking the moderation of assessment within their own organisation.

The unit standards covered are:
- 11551 v3 Moderate assessment (level 5, credits 6)
Content includes:
- Internal and external moderation models
- Moderation of assessment materials
- Verification of assessment decisions
- Recording and reporting moderation data
Assessment requirements
The participant must produce written evidence that s/he has moderated 2 sets of assessment activity materials and 4 assessor decisions. This will be carried out after the course.
Entry criteria
Recommended: previous completion of module 11 - Assessing Performance units 4098, 11281 & 11552. Fluent written and spoken English
For public courses: $330 per participant, $300 special early-bird rate if you pay more than two weeks prior to start date.
